Hayley Perrin in long jump action at Horspath TEAM Oxfordshire finished second in their opening Youth Development League Midland Premier 2 clash at Horspath.
The composite side, featuring under 17 and under 20 athletes from Abingdon Amblers, Radley, White Horse Harriers and Oxford City, were runners-up behind Notts City.
Kathryn Woodcock (Radley) led the way with a hat-trick of victories in the under 17 girls’ discus (37.74m), shot putt (8.77) and hammer (34.08).

UKA has extended the date by which Level 2 officials must have completed the Health & Safety course to 30 June 2013. The Oxfordshire Athletics Network is acting in partnership with England Athletics to run a H&S course at Horspath Road on 25 April 2013. See attached for details.

I am attaching entry forms for the 2013 Oxfordshire County Road Relay Championships to be held on Sunday 5th May, from 2pm, at Abingdon Rugby Football Club, Lambrick Way, Abingdon. OX14 5TJ, hosted by Abingdon Amblers Athletics Club, together with competition rules and a file for submitting your athletes details. Both your team entry form and submission of eligible runners should be sent to Adrienne Hopkins. (Headington Road Runners).

I am beginning to gather names for the U17/U20 composite team (Team Oxfordshire) for the Youth Development League.

Attached is a flyer with the dates and details and I would be really grateful if you would talk to your athletes about competing and let me have a list of names with ages, events and their contact details ASAP as the first date is fast approaching.

I have also attached a timetable so you can see what events there are as there are now specific events for the U17s.

Oxfordshire Schools' Cross Country Championships at Radley College have been postponed one week until Tuesday 29th January.

PLEASE NOTE that Round 3 of the Oxford Mail XC League will be run in conjunction with the Oxfordshire County XC Championships. OxMail runners who are entered for the Oxfordshire County Champs should wear a special number, the same number as for OxMail but with a red background; these will be issued by the County officials at the event.OxMail runners who are NOT entered for the Oxfordshire County Champs should wear their usual OxMail number with the white background. PLEASE ALSO NOTE that some of the race distances are slightly longer and that some of the race start times are slightly later
